311 Broadway Now Landmarked

311 Broadway, a modest Italian Renaissance-inspired building between Thomas and Duane Streets fits snuggly between two giant office buildings.  Built between the 1850s and 1870s, 311 was used as a dry goods warehouse and then as a storage facility and showroom for Fairbanks & Co.  Today the building is a landmark, supported by a unanimous vote from the Landmarks Preservation Commission.  Read more here.
